Financial Audit Services for International Businesses
Our financial audit services give you, your bank and your shareholders independent confidence in your numbers. TGS Innovised helps Dutch and international businesses prepare, plan and complete their audit. As a result, it runs on time and without surprises. Because we are a member of TGS Global, we can also coordinate audits for parent and subsidiary companies in several countries.
Plan your financial auditWhy a financial audit matters for your business
For many companies, an audit is a legal duty. In the Netherlands, medium-sized and large companies must have their annual accounts audited. This applies when a company exceeds two of three limits for two years in a row: €7.5 million in total assets, €15 million in net turnover or 50 employees.
In the UAE, the corporate tax rules also ask for audited financial statements. They apply to businesses with revenue above AED 50 million and to every Qualifying Free Zone Person. In Thailand, every limited company needs a yearly audit by a licensed auditor.
However, a good audit does much more than tick a box. It shows where your controls are weak, where costs leak and where you can grow. As a result, you make faster decisions with numbers you trust. Banks, investors and buyers also ask for audited accounts before they lend, invest or sign.

Our financial audit services
We tailor each engagement to your size, your sector and your reporting needs. Our financial audit services include:
Statutory audits and reviews
We plan and support the statutory audit of your annual accounts. Licensed audit firms in our network sign the audit opinion, in line with national law and the International Standards on Auditing.
Compilation of financial statements
We prepare your annual accounts, balance sheet and management reports. In this way, your board and stakeholders get clear and complete figures.
IFRS reporting and conversion
We help you move from local GAAP to IFRS, or the other way round. We follow the standards of the IFRS Foundation.
Group and subsidiary coordination
We coordinate audits for a parent company and its foreign subsidiaries. That means one schedule and one list of requests for every country. We also prepare the consolidation package for the group auditor.
Internal reviews and risk assessments
We test your internal controls and find weak spots in your reporting. Then we give management clear and practical advice.
Special-purpose audits
We support audits for grants, subsidies, bank covenants and other special reports. For example, many banks ask for an audited covenant report every year.
Audit readiness and closing file
We close your books, reconcile your balances and build a clean audit file. Consequently, your auditor gets what they need on day one.
How our financial audit process works
We follow four clear steps. Each step has agreed dates, so you always know what comes next.
Planning and scoping
First, we learn how your business works. Next, we agree the scope, the deadlines and the main risk areas.
Preparation and fieldwork
We prepare your records and reconciliations. Then the auditor tests your transactions, balances and controls.
Findings and review
We discuss the draft findings with your team. Together, we solve open questions before the deadline.
Reporting and sign-off
Finally, the auditor issues the audit opinion. You also receive a management letter with practical advice.

One coordinated audit for your whole group
Many of our clients run a Dutch holding with companies in the UAE, Thailand, the UK or elsewhere. In that case, separate local audits often lead to delays, double work and results that do not match.
Instead, we act as your single point of contact. We work with audit firms in the TGS Global network. They apply the same international standards, such as the International Standards on Auditing (IAASB) and IFRS.
Therefore, your group gets one timeline, one list of requests and one clear report for management.
Financial audit for UAE free zone companies
Companies in free zones such as IFZA, Meydan and SPC often need audited accounts. They need them to renew their licence or to keep the 0% corporate tax rate. Our UAE team knows these rules well. First, we check what your free zone and the Federal Tax Authority expect. Then we prepare your books and work with an approved auditor. In this way, you meet the deadline with confidence.

Financial audit FAQ
Does my Dutch BV need a financial audit?
Only if it is medium-sized or large. That means it exceeds two of the three limits above for two years in a row. Smaller companies can still choose a voluntary audit, for example when a bank asks for one.
Do UAE free zone companies need audited accounts?
Often, yes. Many free zones ask for them when you renew your licence. Under corporate tax, every Qualifying Free Zone Person must also keep audited financial statements.
What is the difference between an audit, a review and a compilation?
An audit gives reasonable assurance and ends with an audit opinion. A review gives limited assurance. A compilation gives no assurance, because the accountant only prepares the figures.
Can you coordinate audits in several countries?
Yes. Our financial audit services cover groups with companies in several countries. Through TGS Global, we keep one timeline for the whole group.
When should we start preparing?
Start at least two to three months before the filing deadline. Early planning keeps costs down and avoids delays.
